Lottery Scam Letter- Alert

Dear residents of Birchington and Westgate on Sea,

   I have been contacted today about a letter delivered to a resident in Birchington regarding a football lottery win (please see attached). This letter was addressed to them in person so would present as genuine, but is strongly believed to be a scam. Thankfully the recipient was suspicious and contacted a community contact who confirmed that it was likely a scam before they had contacted the person or provided any banking information. 

   If you have received a similar letter, please do not treat it as genuine and do not provide any of your personal details.
